February Forever: Midweek Escapades

Everyday we do different things that take a toll on our physical, emotional, and mental health. That’s why it’s always okay to take a step back and give yourself a break or a quick escape to help ease your mind and open you to wonderful horizons our country has to offer.

If you’re wondering where could you possibly go in the middle of the week, here are a few places where you can take a quick tour of with you, your friends, and some loved ones:

Subic

Subic has always been a tourist capital in the Philippines due to the many activities it has to offer. If you’re into animals, why not try the Ocean Adventure, Jungle Environment Camp or the Pamulaklakin Hiking Forest? You can drop by some water parks as well such as the Inflatable Island and the All Hands Beach if you’re more of a water person.

Sagada

If you’re feeling a bit hot, why not visit the mystery town of Sagada and explore the Hanging Coffins, Burial Caves, or the Rice Terraces? For extra experience, you can also try out spelunking in caves, hiking in mountains, or trek in the Echo Valley. As you explore, you might want to munch on some Sagada goods as well! Perfect adventure for the cold weather!

Banaue

Known as the ‘Stairway to Heaven’, you can experience Banaue’s majestic sights. Visit the ever-famous Banaue Rice Terraces or immerse in our deep roots by watching an Ifugao show, and appreciate the indigenous culture by visiting the Banaue museum where you can learn all sorts of facts about their tribes! For the nature-lovers out there, you can also visit the Tappiya Falls or try the Awan-Igid-Pula-Cambulo trek and make sure to visit some local stores before heading home.

Bicol

If you’re planning to go further, why not visit the land of the famous Mayon Volcano? Bicol has one of the best tourist sites so if you plan to pay a visit, make sure to drop by Matukad Island, Cagsawa Ruins, the islands of Parola, Canton, and Tinaga where you can experience some ocean breeze and other natural areas such as Quitinday Hills, Lignon Hill, Panicuason Hot Spring Resort and more.

For a hassle-free trip, try investing in one of the best heavy duty cars like the Subaru Forester! Identified as one of the hot cars for 2019, you’ll never go wrong with its spacious room, an additional EyeSight driver-assist technology feature, with an expected engine of 2.0-liters, four-cylinder engine paired with CVT, with active torque made to ensure the vehicle’s stability and durability.

Definitely a road trip to remember!
