Lucky Colors for Lucky Journeys

Chinese New Year is just a few days away and it’s always useful to know what colors are considered lucky for you this year. These lucky colors can be applied to all kinds of things from the color of your car to the accent colors for your interiors to the accessories you place to “luck” up your ride. Feng Shui expert, Maxima Tiu, believes that when choosing your lucky color, you must first know what astrological element you are:

Wood

Whether you’re a Wood Pig or a Wood Horse, as long as your element is Wood, green and red are your lucky colors this year. Consider choosing a green-colored car or accessory in your next purchase. This year’s no-no color is white.

Metal

For the Metals, white, gold, and blue are your colors this year. It’s the time to go for a safe white car or go bold with gold. Perhaps a touch of blue accessories for your interiors may help drive that extra luck. This year’s no-no colors are red, yellow, and orange.

Fire

The lucky colors for Fire this year are: red, yellow, and gold. These are bold colors individually and powerful as a combination. Start with a simple yellow keychain and perhaps a gold cellphone mount and you may find your road to good fortune. Your no-no colors are green and blue.

Water

This year, those whose element is Water should go for green and blue. A blue blanket may give you warmth and fortune. Keeping some green-colored USB chargers wouldn’t hurt either. Whatever you do, avoid red, yellow, and orange.

Earth

Lastly, is it surprising that Earth’s lucky colors are white, red, and brown? Don’t worry about standing out too much with your brand new, bright, shiny red ride –it’s meant to attract success. Add your white smashing decals and you should be just fine. Your seats are already brown, right? Just stay away from green, black, and blue.
